THE 928 GTS
The Porsche 928 GTS shown here left the factory in the superb Oak Green Metallic colour, paired with a black leather interior and equipped with sought-after factory options such as a manual transmission, 17-inch Cup alloy wheels, air conditioning and heated seats.
Finished new in November 1992 for Miguel Ángel de la Fuente del Real of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), the car then accompanied its first owner on the Costa del Sol, where it was maintained by C. S. Porsche Sportwagen Marbella (invoices available).
The 928 remained with that single owner until 2016, when it joined The Curated Collection, before recently entering a prestigious private Porsche-focused collection.
Under its current owner’s care, the car has benefited from recent maintenance at Porsche Centre East Flanders, including new tyres, as well as professional detailing by Pole-Position.
It is fully prepared for its next owner and presents in exceptional condition, both aesthetically and mechanically.
Although more than 61, 000 Porsche 928s were produced between 1977 and 1995, the GTS version remains rare: around 2, 800 examples worldwide, i. e. less than five per cent of total production, of which only about a third were equipped with a manual gearbox.
Almost thirty years after production ended, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest and most desirable grand tourers ever built.
The V8 starts effortlessly and settles into a hushed rumble that can flare into a restrained roar at the slightest prod of the accelerator, sending the car rocking on its suspension like a proper hot rod.
The Getrag five-speed manual with the inverted dog-leg shift pattern transmits the power to the rear wheels via Porsche’s electronically controlled limited-slip differential (PSD).
This particular example, with its rare colour combination, manual transmission and comprehensive documentation, is accompanied by its original books, service history and invoices.
Showing a little under 55, 000 kilometres, it stands as a remarkable example of the final and most refined evolution of the 928.
Registered in Belgium, the car is being offered for sale on behalf of a client.
