Rover P6 V8 3500 S, 1974, Mexico Brown with contrasting vinyl roof and boot-mounted spare wheel.
The Rover drives extremely well with its lovely V8 engine note and 4-speed manual gearbox. It also has the all-important power steering.
The bodywork and paint are in excellent condition with no work required. There is no evidence of corrosion.
The only area that needs improvement is the interior, which shows significant wear and tear after 52 years of service.
I have priced the car accordingly to allow the new keeper to address the upholstery in due course.
The car comes with an extensive history file and is MOT and tax-exempt. I have owned a number of Rovers. Both P5 & P6. All have had the wonderful V8 engine. This particular car has had a full respray two years ago, together with a new vinyl roof. Mechanically, it drives beautifully, having had a new clutch fitted and the gear linkage re-bushed recently.
