Description
This MGA was stored in a barn in New Hampshire from 1985. Unfortunately, the section of the barn where this car stood had a leaking roof, resulting in severe corrosion throughout.
The car is offered either as a parts car or as an extremely ambitious restoration project. The chassis is technically repairable but will require extensive welding, including custom-made sections. The body is also restorable but needs major metalwork, multiple repair panels and replacement body sections.
The engine is seized. Oil has been added to the cylinders, but no attempt has been made to free it. Three of the four wheels are locked, the tyres are dry-rotted, and the steering linkage is seized. The car does not roll or steer and must be loaded directly from a lift.
The interior is original and largely complete. The hood frame is included but not pictured. An additional boot lid is supplied, as the original shows perforation through the aluminium. Odometer reads 33, 569 miles.
A very rough MGA for experienced restorers only, priced accordingly.
Supplied with New Hampshire registration certificate and Dutch customs documentation. EU import duties have been paid. Sold with commercial invoice.
Viewings by appointment at Dandy Classics, Netherlands.
Personal pick up by small trailer only; we cannot load this car onto a heavy commercial vehicle.
