1981 Ford Escort 1600 Sport. We imported this car a while ago and sold it to one of our good customers. He fully stripped it and completed a full nut and bolt restoration of the car. Everything is either new or refurbished. Underneath is as clean as up top. The car is fully UK registered as CFM 875W and we have the V5 here.
Body - Absolutely rock solid everywhere. This car is still on its original inner wings, floors, sills, rear arches, the car was stripped to bare metal during the restoration and repainted in Ford Venetian Red. It was painted everywhere including inside the floors, under the headlining. Underside was given a light coat of raptor and repainted in body colour. The car is very straight. New sport decal, headlights, window rubbers, door seals. UK style foglight fitted. This is a great looking car.
Mechanics - Everything has either been rebuilt, refurbished or replaced. Engine was rebuilt and lovely. Standard 4 speed gearbox and running gear. New bushes, track control arms, track rod ends, 2" Sportex full exhaust system. New brakes all round, handbrake cable, shocks, propshaft, brake pipes and more.
Interior - Good dash top, door cards, new rear parcel shelf, Rs Turbo Recaros fitted and rear seat trimmed to match. Easily changed if they are not your cup of tea. definitely much comfier than the originals.
Wheels - 7x13 JBW RS replicas with good 185/ 60/ 13 tyres
