Let’s point out early, this is no Mitsubishi Warrior, L200, Navana, etc it’s just over 20ft long, 8+ft tall, 3. 5 ton, it takes two parking spaces at Tesco’s length wise, mind width is close and only JUST fits a standard bay

I’m very ill with M. E and Back issues and busy with newborn baby.. I honestly do not have time to waste and I’m very upset to sell this awesome piece of pulling power as I got it just right…

Taxed and tested, only 76, 000 miles with MOT history backing up mileage, condition reflects this too… great condition mechanically and cosmetically good, it’s a work horse so a few marks here and there and odd minor ding, but no rust or real damage anywhere.. bed lining was protected from new so mint. Price lets get it out the way £8, 450. 00…

Remember this is not a high mileage tired standard spec, which is fine for 5th wheeling but have there weak points which I’ve addressed. If you want cheaper there is plenty of rough stock F250’s out there or faulty dreadful early 6 point Oh noooo’s (6. 0 version) or if towing is not required you can go for a cheap under powered 5. 4 petrol V8

This is the haul/ 5th wheel spec F350 … why?

1. its RWD Not heavy 4X4 leaving more loading capacity, this also means it does NOT look like its doing a wheelie when hauling, the 2wd has an aggressive front tilt, rear end is 6” higher, so once loaded with 4. 5+ ton 5th wheel its totally level, so steering, weight balance and most importantly brakes are correctly loaded.
2. It’s the long bed (8ft) so no need for the time consuming slide hitch, e. g. a system where you slide the entire 5th wheel hitch back past rear axle to give room, just to be able to take a tight turn, then return to over rear axle
3. it’s the Supercab, with the suicide half doors, so seats 6 in comfort but adds little weight which in turn takes away from what you can pull/ carry
4. Pretty obvious it’s the mighty 7. 3 Powerstroke Turbo diesel V8, FOR THOSE THAT DON’T KNOW this is a Heavy duty workhorse power plant A. K. A International T444E which in the USA often visits the 800, 000+ miles!!! Without any major rebuild or issues.. so this example is just about run in… this haul like a train standard but I wanted more and now running over 600Ibs of torque which in turn means pulling off on a 15% incline with a loaded 4+ ton 5th wheel Newmar trailer and loaded truck is a breeze…
5. Transmission.. What I would call the weak point, Trans cooler is tiny and the transmission pump front seal are just waiting to blow out causing a huge loss of trans fluid if temps get higher than normal.. easy done in traffic, fully loaded then hitting a hill… I HAVE THAT TOTALLY COVER NOW at a cost of in excess of £1, 000. 00

So no its not got amber Christmas lights everywhere, its not got fancy chrome useless bed rails, its not lifted, its not got go fast stickers, its not got 22” chrome useless wheels nor wheels sticking out the arch, it is not full of heavy amps and subwoofers, in fact its got none of that stuff that just adds weight, adds drag…

Everything that has been added from an almost perfect stock hauler has been done so to improve its towing ability and driving comfort and almost ALL while in my ownership of nr two years, I purchased from a 80 year old gentleman who had to either take a test due to his age or downsize as he was pulling a 35ft 5th wheel, needless to say it was STOCK all but for the nerf bars (side steps) which for short people like him and me they are needed and in turn protect seals and side impact, needless to say a top brand too, Westin.

Thankfully it’s gone now but at some point it had one of them daft sun visors above the windscreen, as I noticed marks fro where it used to sit and attach inside the door openings.

This originally new in Florida truck has been here almost all its life, came here September 2003 where it went through SVA test for it to be used and road legal on UK/ EU roads and has since been owned by 4 owners.

NOW LET ME BE CLEAR SELLERS STATING 28mpg ARE TALKING TOTAL AND UTTER #/]#!!! SERIOUSLY I’ve not sat and worked it out, but I put £100 in last week and managed a 335 mile round trip to Oxford, that was driving at approx 60-65mph with only a 10ft model railway layout onboard… work it out? It’s better than these A class RV’s (I’ve been there) and its ample better than the gas guzzling 6. 8 V10 Triton (I was getting 6mpg!! But mine was a dually and Supercharged)

So as standard its got the usual, elec windows, A/ C, Cruise, Central locking, Power steering, ABS, this is the twin bench seat model so a full 6 seater, centre front seat folds down making a large armrest and storage unit, rear bench seat folds up and over making a large totally flat load space,

Turbo fitted with Wicked wheel

Intercooler pipes defoiled

Hugely restrictive air box replaced with a high flow Nappa 6637 from Riff Raff diesel USA, fitted with a removable washable Riff-Raff diesel sock

T-304 Micro shine stainless steel Bully Dog Technologies full turbo back' Rapid Flow Exhaust System, These are designed and built with absolute minimal degree angles on bends. This will create the most free flowing low back pressure system in the industry allowing the turbo to move air more freely, reducing exhaust temperatures. Dyno Results have shown a 10-20 horsepower gain in horsepower be simply switching from stock to a Rapid Flow Exhaust System. This will also lower exhaust temperatures by as much as 200 degrees.

Edge Evolution power tuner and digital monitor system, this is dash mounted and in a dash colour coded pod, this gives the option of running either stock, tow, power or extreme mode tune all simply with a press of a button, on top of that it is also a code reader for engine faults, it is also a detailed readout/ monitor, of Turbo boost, volt, exhaust temp, air intake temp, etc etc this cost over $600 for such a small item!!! But worth every penny as it compliments the exhaust and intake upgrade in a massive way.

Transmission 4R100 upgrades VERY IMPORTANT MODS, Buy a truck that’s not been done and wait for the day it sprays your underside with trans fluid at a great rate and at the most inconvenient of times, obviously leaving you all stranded until transmission cools and HOPEFULLY the failing seal re-seats hours later, then you just need 4-5 litres or more of Mercon fluid.

Alpine multimedia unit, single din with electronic flip out screen, which can receive digital TV, Sat nav, DVD, or Reversing cam, 6 disc CD multichanger, Upgraded Pyle speakers all round to replace the terrible cardboard OEM speakers.

Cooper Discoverer STT tyres all round IMPORTANT these are E Rated and suitable for 5th wheeling and hauling

Upgraded OEM alloy wheels, the terrible peeling flaking polished wheels have been re-finished in saturn black but retaining the chrome hubs, a simple job but gets so many comments of nice wheels lol!!

Tinted windows all round, not my choice but handy for the children that travel with us.

Now I am NOT a boy racer honest, the power upgrades are for the pulling ability, however with that it brings crazy acceleration and overall performance, daily driving I only need rest my foot on the throttle pedal and she potters lovely, there is no need for flooring it to downshift, the Edge evolution tuner that I’ve mentioned already can also, yep, it can also do performance checks 0-60mph 60-100mph etc just because I was curious I monitored its 0-60 USING JUST THE POWER TUNE which is +60bhp and get this we got a 0-60 of 5. 8 seconds!!!! This was after I had one of them young boys in a Subaru Imprezza WRX rev limiting and hissing his dump valve etc next to me at the lights with his school girl girlfriend grinning away, I figured what the hell and seriously blew him away with total ease all while covering his car in black soot from the 5” tailpipe..

Basically this is an idea 5th wheel hauler that needs no spending on, or even just something different
