Rover 3500 SE (early series 2). MoT'd until 22 May 2009 and tax until March 2009. E/ w, e/ m, s/ r, PAS etc etc - well spec'd for a 1982 car!
Originally an automatic, but converted to manual at some point in its life. Other modifications include stainless steel exhaust (sounds great), SU carbs (instead of the problematic Strombergs), CD player, lowered suspension (to approx Vitesse height) and much of the suspension is polybushed. Also the Vitesse alloys and Moto Lita steering wheel seen in the pics are negotiable, depending on price.
I've done lots of work in the 18 months I've owned the car and it now runs beautifully and drives great. As demonstrated in the video below:
- details above
There is some rust on body, but it's totally solid structurally and has never been welded. Tail gate has no rust at all (very rare!).
Lots of service history including original bill of sale (for £10850), every MoT certificate and a wad of receipts.
All in all a solid, useable car that looks and sounds great. But unfortunately for me it now needs to go to raise funds for my newly acquired project (an SD1 Vitesse twin plenum).
