EXTERIOR
The Clio V6 looks incredible and makes a serious impact on first view, a Supercar packaged into a hatchback of compact aggression.
As of 1 of only 25 UK Mk1′s in Mars Red, the velvet metallic shade adds depth and lustre to the brutish aesthetic; popping beautifully in both studio and in natural light. This particular model has been subject to a great deal of care and attention over it’s life and with a full paint correction in house the car sits in prime cosmetic condition.
INTERIOR
The interior is trimmed with a Motorsport derived mixture of dark blue leather and alcantara that presents clean and free of any major marks or stains to the acknowledged fragility of the Renault interior. A number of features unique to the V6 lift the cabin; the aluminum trimmed centre console, alcantara handbrake and gear gaiters remain soft and supple in offering a stylish departure from vinyl and plastics.
The seats are deeply supportive whilst the alloy gear knob falls to hand intuitively and absolutely aligned with the Renault Sport bloodline; beautifully communicative with a tactile weight and feel.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A 3 litre V6 is the last thing you’d expect to find in a Clio, let alone positioned where the back seats usually are; it is this combination that has set a revered reputation that commands respect.
The sonorous V6 dominates proceedings with a growling exhaust note enhance by a sports exhaust, whilst torque is plentiful ensuring more sedate pace is no effort at all. The last service saw a new battery, oil and gearbox service just 500 miles ago.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
All 4 OZ wheels received a refurbishment in late 2015 and still present unmarked in superb order. Having covered minimal mileage Michelin Pilot Sport 3 rubber sits on all four corners – the ultimate contact patch for both wet and dry conditions.
AP calipers to front ensure that the car stops smoothly and quickly with discs and pads in good shape going forward.
HISTORY FILE
Delivered new in February 2002 the car settled into long term ownership for over 10 years from 2006; the 6 stamp service book annotates everything from A & B manufacturer guideline servicing to HT coil, cambelt, water pump and clutch slave cylinder replacements. A new battery was also installed in 2015 and has been kept on a maintenance charger when not in use.
The car has never covered further than 6k miles between servicing and presents in excellent cosmetic and mechanical health.
The car will be sold with a cambelt service upon sale with either esteemed specialists Mark Fish or SG Motorsport.
A spare key, spare alarm fob and all MOT certificates from new complete the history portfolio.
