1962 Triumph TR4 Manual with Overdrive. Signal red with black leather upholstery and red Surrey top. This beautiful TR4 is an increasingly rare find nowadays as it is a UK supplied right hand drive car with a factory Surrey top. Being a car built early in the production run it still retains its lovely TR3a style seats, again a rare sight. The Triumph was supplied new by F. Guyver & Sons Ltd of Stratford Upon Avon in 1962 and the Heritage certificate shows the options fitted were heater, windscreen washer, hard-top, sun visors, Michelin X tyres and overdrive. During 2012 the car was stripped to be professionally re-painted, at the same time four original wings were sourced and both sills replaced. A full re-chroming of all of the brightwork also took place and this is all documented by photographs in the history file and then in 2015 the cylinder head was rebuilt enabling the car to run on unleaded fuel without the need for additives. The TR further benefits from a Phoenix exhaust and manifold, electronic ignition and a Petronix coil. The car runs extremely well and has a lovely throaty engine note, it drives just as it should with no faults. A well known car throughout the TR clubs it was featured many times in the Rimmer Bros Catalouges. This car is still very original with period steel wheels and hub caps. You will not be disappointed with this wonderful classic and viewing is highly recommended. Remarkable in condition this is a vehicle that any enthusiast would be very proud to own. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information. Delivery can be arranged.
