1974 Porsche 911S Project – Street Legal Race Car
This classic 911 was recently imported from Japan where it had been used as a competition car. The plan for this car was to turn it into a street legal track car which could be driven to the race track for track days or enjoyed on the road. Unfortunately due to lack of time and too many other projects the car is being offered for sale as it is. It is actually very close to completion, all that remains to finish the project is the reassembly & fitting of the engine & gearbox. The parts to complete this are all present & the car was running prior to taking the engine out. The intention was to build a short stroke engine using the 3. 0 SC with the supplied 3. 2 pistons & barrels running on the Weber 40 carb setup. This would result in a fun, high revving package which should be a blast to drive in the stripped out lightweight car. It should also sound great with the race headers & Turbo Thomas stainless exhaust. The car is 100% rust free and totally solid, no repairs, no welding & no accident damage. The original glass is still in the car and if you wanted to it would be possible to put it back to stock. The car benefits from 930 Turbo front brakes and is running on a set of period 16″ Fuchs in matte black with new tyres. Once the engine is back in the car all thats needed for the MOT is a horn & washers, everything else is ready & working. Porsche certificate of authenticity present along with all import papers and on the NOVA system. There is also a large folder of invoices for the parts purchased.
