1976 FIAT 126 – RESTORED EXAMPLE – SUPER CONDITION

This stunning lime green Fiat 126 500 was imported from Italy in 2015 by a well known Maserati specialist in the UK . In January 2017 it was treated to new track road ends, rear shocks and new lower shocker bushes as well as four new tyres. The vehicle was then sold to the second owner as a suprise for his wife so he set about recommissioning the drivetrain to ensure it drove perfectly for her. This was only in June 2017 and the bill amounted to £3437 in total1 Works carried out included the following:
New stub axle/ leafspring bushes
Remove, strip and overhaul stubaxles
Remove steering box – replace all gaskets and seals, replace oil, reset tracking
Remove exhaust and manifolds and replace with customer supplied parts and gaskets
Remove carburettor and air intake system – rebuild carb's and replace filters
Check gearbox, re new o/ s rear driveshaft, coupling and adjust rear wheel bearings
Fit new gear coupling
Remove gearbox, differential, clutch and flywheel, service as required and re fit.
Replace gearbox oil and gaskets, driveshaft boot also.
Renew front brake cylinders and shoes. Replace brake fluid and bleed full system
New starter/ choke cables
New inertia reel seatbelts fitted
Replace faulty thermostat
Full engine service including spark plugs, adjust tappets and timing
Fit full new timing chain kit, new oil seals and gaskets and re build
Remove cylinder head, replace gaskets and seals, de coke and clean, re set tappets and tune

After all this the lady did not like the car!!!!!! So made her husband sell it, hence why we have it today. Now ready to be enjoyed by its next (appreciative!) custodian.

This car represents unbelieveable value for money especially considering the money that has been recently lavished upon it.

UK registered with all taxes paid. Current MOT until June this year after which time it will be exempt.
