At the end of May 1967, BMC announced the fitting of a larger 1275 cc engine option to the 1100 . The new car combined the 1275 cc engine already familiar to drivers of newer Mini Cooper S and Austin-Healey Sprite models. This MG version is a very rare sight today especially in this condition. with just 51000 miles on the clock it drives superb with a wonderful rasp from the 1275 engine and its twin SU carbs.
