This is one of 92 original K series engined models produced in the limited edition Type 49 specification featuring the historic Gold Leaf racing colours, a legendary period for the Lotus Works Racing Team.
Every enthusiast knows that the first Series of Elise is the one to have – delivering the purest driving experience whilst remaining reasonably usable and practical. They remain very good value for money despite a growing legendary status, yet this may be about to change following the recent ending of Elise production. Many of the world’s great car collections feature an early Elise, indeed this car shared garage space with a Ferrari F40 and McLaren F1 in recent years.
This great Type 49 remains in excellent original order throughout in all respects and has covered only 25, 000 miles with a comprehensive service history. Indeed, it has recently been fully inspected and serviced by Lotus main dealer Hexagon of Highgate. The invoice on file for £3, 000 details the work completed, suffice to say all issues were rectified, a full service completed and all tyres replaced along with other maintenance work.
The car comes complete with all books, including the original stamped service book in the correct wallet, roof, all keys and a comprehensive history file.
A pure and exhilarating driving experience for not much money.
