The ‘Beautiful’ ’67 Alfa Romeo Duetto 1600:
Specified with ‘Rosso’ paintwork and ‘Skai nero’ interior this car apparently spent its very early life as ‘promotional’ car in Los Angeles, California. It was then tucked away for the best part of 30 years before being rediscovered in the early '00's by an enthusiast who lived just a few miles outside of LA.
The new owner undertook some light recommissioning work which included the engine being rebuilt, the seats retrimmed and although solid and rust free, the body paintwork was in need of a refresh due to some fading and a few light 'dings' here and there... Some photos of the car from when it was discovered are included in its file, as well as images showing the condition of the car before/ during the work was carried out.
After being enjoyed for a few years the car was sold and found its way to the UK in 2017 – it has been enjoyed sparingly since.
The car remains in fantastic condition throughout, as can be seen in the photos. It is complete with its original radio, jack/ spare wheel, and file containing various photos showing the work carried out during its ‘refresh’, as well as some invoices/ MOT’s etc and it’s all important ‘Certificato Di Origine’ from Alfa, confirming the date of manufacture/ shipping and specification.
