This is my 1970 MG Midget MK 3 (facelift).
She has had 4 owners including myself in the last 53 years. The last owner owned the car for 42 years.
She has had quite a few bits done to her since she has been in my ownership.
I reconditioned the gearbox, giving it new needle roller bearings, shaft bearings, gaskets and seals. The gearbox has also had a new 1st and 2nd gear on the third motion shaft.
The lower half of the engine has had a general overhaul with new gaskets, seals, a repaint into the original metallic green and a general look over. It was in very good condition. The car has been fitted with a new, original style twin box exhaust.
The upper half of the engine needed work, having a reconditioned cylinder head. In the process, the engine was converted to run on unleaded petrol.
I have many pictures of the work I have done to the car and I have receipts also.
The exterior of the car is in good condition.
The interior is in good condition.
The hood is in very good condition with it being replaced by the previous owner.
I AM HAPPY TO TAKE IT TO ONE OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT PORTS FOR YOU TO VIEW IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING FROM THE MAINLAND TO VIEW.
ALSO I WOULD TRANSPORT THE CAR AT MY EXPENSE TO PORTSMOUTH PORT, SOUTHAMPTON PORT OR LYMINGTON PORT IF YOU PURCHASED THE CAR. PAYMENT OF THE CAR WOULD OF HAD TO BE MADE BEFORE HAND.
