1st sold by Dino Bassi of Garage Bassi, 53100 Siena. Registered in 1966. Registration plate: SI 6 3201
3 owners (including present). Car never left Siena until export to UK.
Full bare metal restoration carried out during 2018 - 2020One of the very earliest series 1 Fulvia Coupes in existence and certainly one of the most original where the restoration was able to conserve the almost all the original parts. Following the full bare metal restoration the car was resprayed in its originalcolour (Grigio Tor di Valle). There was localised floor pan corrosion to the front near side footwell. New metal pressings provided by a Specialist were welded to ensure that the car was 100% structurally sound. Specialist aluminium welding was carried out to repair the towers. A New fuel tank was provided by DTR Sports. New fuel lines and new belts have been fitted. The starter motor has been reconditioned (rewound and restored) by a Specialist (Bexley Starters). A new 123 distributor and coil were fitted in 2023 (but with all working original distributor, points and coil retained in case points are preferred). The carbs were ultrasonically cleaned and overhauled by DTR. Five new Pirelli classic tyres were fitted in 2020. Full anti-corrosion pressure treatment was carried out to all internal cavities, inner surfaces of wings, cills using Dinitrol.
Maintained regardless of expense since import by Specialists including DTR Sports. Last service by DTR carried out July 2023.
Car runs and presents beautifully. Extremely reliable and has always started first time.
Large range of spares from spare s1 carbs, distributors, coils (originals all retained as spares), gasket kits and spare seat foam bases bought and kept aside as future replacements.
Since import it was always been kept in a fully air conditioned, humidity controlled garage.
Very reluctant sale. It's a real head turner and it's impossible to go anywhere without compliments.
