Beschreibung
Original TVR factory press car for 1993 and 1994, this was one of the earliest Chimaeras built and given out for review to various motoring journalists.
Appears in John Tiplers 'TVR - The Complete Story' book and I've acquired a handful of period motor magazines that feature the car in such as PerformanceCAR, AUTOCAR and MotorSport.
Rare 4. 3 litre engine, as fitted to the Griffith, which some consider the best of the bunch.
I have owned for a year, purchased from my local TVR specialist Amore Autos, and it has been great fun experiencing a petrol V8 but I'm ready to move on.
In my ownership I have carried out a couple of upgrades and plenty of preventive maintenance as I have been driving this car daily.
Upgrades:
283mm Fiesta ST front brake caliper setup, rebuilt with new pistons & seals, with Sierra Cosworth discs - The early cars had 240mm discs which was considered undersized at the time.
Performance PBS ProTrack brake pads and MTEC slotted discs
High temperature ATE Type 200 brake fluid
Braided brake hoses throughout the car
Modern Cobra alarm & immobiliser with remote central locking and boot release.
Maintenance:
All ignition components replaced - HT leads with high temperature socks
Ignition coil
Ignition amplifier
Distributor cap & rotor arm
Original radiator recored by a local firm & new expansion tank cap.
Clutch master cylinder rebuilt with new seals & bled.
Engine & gearbox mounts replaced - They had gone soft with age.
All exhaust rubbers replaced - Same as above.
Mass airflow meter - Original included.
Rocker cover gaskets - Modern reinforced rubber type.
12K service was carried out by Amore Autos before I purchased the car at 75, 277 along with a new battery and starter motor.
Chassis:
The chassis has been lightly oiled and appears in solid condition. We can jack the car up if you wish to inspect further.
Oil & filter will be changed prior to sale.
Comes with half-cover for the roof if leaving the car outside and a small selection of spares.
Current mileage is 82, 457 and MOT due October 2023, I could potentially MOT early if required.
I welcome all enquiries and hope the next owner will enjoy it as I have.
