This car is owned by our tech, and he has recently completed a full body off restoration on the car.
He has just completed 1000 miles in the car to iron out any mechanical issues that may have arisen.
The good bits to follow, the only negative on the car is that some areas of the bodywork are showing some signs of wear. She is perfectly presentable compared to most Chims around, but the bodywork certainly isn't as brilliant as the rest of the car. The front end has some stone chips, the door edges and boot edges have some marks, and both mirrors have some marks. If you want a show car, we will happily have the car painted, and it will then be £19, 999. However, if you want a car that's mechanically bang on, that you can use and enjoy, then this is the one for you. We can share a walk-around video of the car.
The good:
Engine: New cam kit, with lifters, chain kit etc.
New Coolex aluminium radiator.
New sparkplugs.
New Elring Head gaskets (precaution)
New inner wing heat shields.
New genuine (LR) rear main and front oil seals.
New pinion seal on steering rack.
Wheels and tyres:
Freshly refurbished alloys shod with new Uniroyal tyres.
Chassis: Body removed, chassis stripped, new outriggers fitted. Chassis zinc primed and powder coated along with all wishbones and brackets etc.
New suspension bushes all round, new engine mounts, diff bushes etc.
Suspension:
New Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs from Ben Lang. New drop links, ball joints and track rod ends.
Brakes:
New discs and pads and new brake lines, and handbrake cable. New rear calipers and sliders.
Fuel:
New Gates Barricade marine grade fuel lines throughout.
New fuel filter.
New fuel tank sender.
Interior:
New heater
New carpet set
New wooden dash from TVR MADS
A new Sigma alarm system has also been fitted, along with new head lamp reflectors, and all new fluids throughout. New wiper arms, and new washer jets also fitted.
The car drives very well indeed, as you would expect a 26, 000-mile car to drive.
There is only a small amount of service history with the car, which is why the decision was taken to do the full works mechanically on this one.
The car is based at our Devon branch. Will be sold freshly serviced.
