This fuel-injected DS 21 Pallas BVH (chassis 00FA5322), built in December 1969, was supplied to Citroen of Clermont-Ferrand and subsequently registered to Jean-Patrick & Henriette Richard in early January 1970. When Jean-Patrick passed away in 1992, the car remained with the Richard family, preserved in the basement of their home in Corrèze, until it was imported to the UK in 2019.
Retaining its original 2175 cc (DX3) engine with semi-automatic transmission, the car has covered approximately 70, 000 miles (113, 000 km). The history file includes the driver?s handbook and wallet, service book (with early dealership stamps), French documents, marketing literature, and the owner's service and warranty card (carte ADREMA). A heritage certificate from the Citroen Conservatoire, confirming the car?s matching numbers, is also on file.
The original interior has been replaced by Enzo Forgione, a Citroen DS & SM specialist in Bolzano. Enzo is renowned for producing exceptional DS and SM leather interiors, supplying discerning collectors and the PSA Group with interiors for their heritage collection in showrooms throughout Paris. Seats and door cards are reupholstered using leather of exceptional quality, matched in texture and colour to what Citroen produced in the late sixties and early seventies. Stitching measurements, thread colour, and internal materials remain true to the original specification. The removable headrests are period-correct.
In November 2019 the bodywork was repainted in its original colour, Blanc Cygne AC 093, with meticulous care given to matching the original internal paintwork and retaining the factory labels, chevron stamps, and numbers applied to the boot, bonnet, doors, and chassis during production. The perfectly aligned bodywork shows the correct factory metal punch indentations made during production. The chassis and underside is untouched and in remarkable condition.
The carpet, roof lining, and short-levered internal door handles have been replaced; otherwise, all internal Pallas trim remains original. The FM radio (Continental Edison 354) has been serviced, and I have retained the original front speaker with fader control. The rear parcel shelf speaker has been upgraded and remains in its original housing.
The ?DS21? decal was affixed to the rear screen by the supplying dealer in 1969. It marks the first prize safety award (Prix de la Sécurité) presented to Citroen by the French Motoring Press Association in 1969.
The mandatory French biennial inspection reports (contrôle technique) for 2017 and 2019, along with the MOT certificates (no faults or advisories) for the past three years, are on file. Further information on additional work, including service and maintenance records over the past five years, is available on request.
