Yes, I am selling my beloved Citroen H Van, Minty. I have owned this van for over 20 years.
We used it a lot back in the day but we have no use for it now. It has been converted to a camper van and had a full respray about 4 years ago.
This is not your standard H Van, it has a 5 speed gearbox and a 4. 2 rover V8 which has been rebuilt. It also has a stainless steel exhaust fitted and sounds like a TVR. It even has a towbar fitted.
We have done over 45, 000 miles in it but then took it off the road to be overhauled. That was when we rebuilt the engine and resprayed it.
We have done a lot of work to this H Van. The floor in the rear of the van is lowered by 50mm so I can stand upright in the van which means the complete rear floor was replaced at the time.
The 2 front seats swivel round, it has a night heater to keep you warm at night however it needs to be plumbed in.
The inside still needs to be finished as I started to do the inside but then decided to sell. This H Van is no GTi but it is probably the only H Van that will keep up with modern day traffic. I can easily exceed the motorway speed limit.
The reason for selling it is that we just no longer use it.
It is near enough the same as the original H Van in fuel economy so do not think it will drink fuel like a jetliner. We had a bespoke aluminium fuel tank made for it.
I am more than happy to jump in this H Van and drive it to the South of France.
Once we have sold it, we will put a brand new MOT on the H Van.
