Introduced by BMW in 1981, the 5 Series e28 was intended to be revolutionary. It enabled BMW to introduce new technologies such as the on-board computer, the driver's airbag and the anti-lock braking system to its 5 Series. Visually similar to the previous generation e12, BMW concentrated on the front and rear ends in order to reduce the drag coefficient. Resolutely technological for its time, the 5 Series e28 was also offered in sports versions equipped with the much appreciated M20/ 30/ 88 blocks. The car we are offering for sale is in very good condition. Unmodified, the car runs perfectly and is a pleasure to drive. The paintwork is also in good condition, as is the interior.
