Description

This GT4 was delivered new on 21/ 04/ 1977 by POZZI (Levallois, Paris), the official French Ferrari importer. It has approximately 70, 500 kilometres on the clock. Series F 106 Al - chassis number 13360 - engine 0263 This Dino 308 gt4 in its superb "Rosso Chiaro Ferrari 20. R. 19" colour and with the original beige interior with Alcantara inserts, underwent a complete professional restoration of the highest standard from 2017 to 2018 in the Italian workshop "Atelier Fiorano" in Milan. It also recently underwent a complete overhaul of the transmission belts and a new clutch. In-depth photographic documentation of each restoration process is available on request, along with all invoices. The Ferrari Dino GT4 was a revolutionary model for Ferrari and the first of its kind. It was the first production Ferrari to be fitted with a mid-mounted V8 engine and, at the same time, to be a GT 2+2 (4-seater), making the Maranello marque a pioneer of its time. The success of this mid-mounted V8 engine was to become a benchmark and would continue for decades with Ferrari's various models and evolutions. The gt4 shares the same chassis as the original Dino 246, but is the only production Ferrari to bear the Bertone (not Pininfarina) badge designed by master Marcello Gandini (Lancia Stratos - Lamborghini Miura - Countach - Alfa Romeo Montreal...) The car offered for sale was officially estimated at €125, 000 on 31/ 02/ 2018 by BME Expertises Monaco. In order to further improve driving and handling performance, this example has also undergone some minor aftermarket upgrades that do not alter its original appearance: - Pertronix electronic ignition system - Complete aftermarket UK Superformance front and rear brake kit (metal braided calipers, brake discs and brake fluid hoses) - Spax adjustable suspension - 16-inch gold Superformance wheels with original five-spoke design (reminiscent of Ferrari F1 and 1970s racing cars) - Aftermarket steel exhaust and new headers It is fitted with air conditioning (original). Only 2, 826 Dino 308 Gt4s were produced and only a few quality examples remain, making this a highly sought-after collector's car. This car turns heads with its original, iconic 1970s design and quality condition, but that's not all: its 250bhp 3-litre mid-rear V8 and 5-speed manual gearbox make it a very quick and easy car to drive, and above all a real pleasure to drive thanks to its excellent chassis set-up. Whether you're a classic sports car enthusiast looking for a high-performance, iconic and original vehicle to drive, or a collector looking to add a special piece to an existing Ferrari collection, this connoisseur's sports coupe could be for you. LINK TO CAR VIDEO ON YOUTUBE: - details above - details above bought this car from a Frenchman in Blois, near Paris, in May 2016. Following the sale of my Fiat Dino Spider 2, 0L, I was looking for a restoration project for a Dino 308 GT4 year up to 1977 preferably (my date of birth). I think the previous owner had it for about ten years. The car was sold in April 1977 in Paris by the official French professional Charles POZZI, and has always been registered in France. When I bought it, the car ran well but needed a complete restoration, with lots of rust around the wheel arches and lower side panels (a common problem on these 1970s Italian cars...), the engine and chassis were relatively sound and not a problem. The engine and chassis were relatively sound and caused no problems. I have a complete book documenting the restoration process with photos from start to finish. I recently had the Pertronix electronic ignition kit installed by the Ferrari professional in Monaco and had the petrol engine tested by an independent specialist mechanic; the results are good, the engine is sound and runs well: CO2 12. 5% - CO 3. 29% - O2 0. 54% - HC 418 ppm.
