This Mistral was delivered new in September 1967 to Sport Auto Roma in Rome, Italy. It is the 4. 0L version and the original color was Polo White with Rossa (red) leather interior. The factory options included Borrani wire wheels, factory air conditioning, radio, rear defroster and dash clock.
The Mistral has a dual over head cam inline 6 cylinder motor that was derived from the 300S race car. It was rated at 255HP and has loads of torque.

Originally this Mistral was equipped with Lucas injection, but had been converted somewhere along the way with triple Weber DCOE carburetors, as used on the 3500GT. This was a common conversion to avoid problems with the troublesome Lucas injection. The transmission is the original ZF 5 speed.
The odometer reads 24, 000 KM, which may or may not be correct, because it has been used very little during my stewardship.

The body is aluminum alloy and the exterior has been recently painted a Rossa red to match the interior. The body is nice with no corrosion, rust, dents, dings or scratches. All the lenses have been replaced with NOS ones. Much of the chrome has been re-plated and shows well, along with the Borrani wire wheels. The glass is all good without any discoloration or delamination. The tires are Yokohama's AV1;s and have less than 1000 miles on them. The sway bar bushings have been replaced with polyurethane for better cornering and longevity.
The Mistral is a short wheel base 2 seat Maserati sports car that handles extremely well.

This Mistral presents itself very well and has won many awards including 'Best in Class' at Concorso Italiano in Monterey, CA.
A total of 830 coupes were manufactured from 1963 to 1969, of which the last 298 were made with the 4. 0 liter engine.

Because of the performance and low build numbers, the Mistral should appreciate in value in the coming years.
