Last but one of my collection has got to go as moved house and downsized storage space. Car has not used since restoration as I prefer my other classic.
Totally restored from end to end including body, engine, suspension, subframes and brakes. Professionally repainted in its original colour this is a very rare and conspicuous looking car. Only done about 57K miles from new. Restored by me over a 2 year period all rust was cut out and replaced with new panels by a professional welder so it is now a real gem. Engine was smoky but on strip down was found to be in unworn condition and rebuilt with new standard pistons and bearings. It was also converted to run on lead free petrol.
Lots of photos available of the process and the completed result. I have a list of all the work and parts fitted. Receipts will come with the car. It has been kept totally original with the exception of the seats, steering wheel . and road wheels. The original seats etc , which are in great condition, will come with the car. Completed about a year ago it has to date only done about 50 miles so will need a shakedown and be run in. I retired 11 years ago and have spent my time restoring old Porsche cars. Decided to go back to my first love and fully restore a Mini which i thought would be a quick job but took 2 years,. Cost was no object as anything needing to be replaced was renewed and i am very pleased with the result. Having recently down sized and lost my storage space i had to dispose of my small collection of sports cars. The MINI will be the last to go leaving me with one other classic to enjoy.
