Description
Following a phantom buyer, I am putting my Clubman Estate from 1 January 1981 back on the market. To my great regret, I must part with it for pressing health reasons (reduced initial price).
A beige colour, the vehicle has undergone a bodywork and paint restoration:
- Front cradle overhaul, engine bay repainted, new insulating foam, replacement of all front and rear suspension bushes, four new suspension cones, installation of a Hi-Lo kit, replacement of the front floor pans, front door panels, replacement of all front and rear door seals, windscreen deflectors, refurbishment of the grille with a new British Leyland badge, installation of side mouldings…
- The original steel wheels have been replaced by refurbished BWA alloy wheels fitted with new Yokohama A008 tyres in 165/ 70x10.
Mechanical side, the original 1100 cm3 engine/ gearbox unit (57, 000 km) has been removed and given a complete overhaul:
- Cylinder head and valve seats refurbished, head gasket, aluminium cam cover, fuel pump, water pump, radiator, thermostat, temperature sensor, heater tap, all hoses and engine seals, timing chain, carburettor overhaul, spark plugs, ignition loom, electronic ignition, coil, master cylinder and clutch slave, braking system overhaul, brake fluid, brake hoses, heater unit, windscreen washer reservoir, windscreen wiper motor, horn, electrical system thoroughly revised, installation of reversing lights and rear fog light, cigarette lighter, …
- Fitting of a Stage 1 kit with a complete exhaust system, new front headlights, as well as indicators and parking lights.
Interior: new carpets, upholstery and door panels fitted professionally, Clubman steering wheel, fabrication of a luggage covering (parcel shelf cover).
This Clubman Estate (historic registration) that sleeps in a closed and heated garage is in perfect condition of presentation and operation. It is maintained regularly by a professional. The owner is meticulous and thorough. The MOT will be carried out for the sale. The vehicle will be sold with its invoice dossier, a spare set of keys and a full tank of fuel.
