This 1985 Renault R5 Turbo 2 is number 117 of 200 Type 8221 road models built for homologation purposes to qualify the R5 Maxi Turbo rally car for WRC Group B competition. It was imported to the USA by Sun International at the time of its previous owner and would have remained in the same family for around three decades before being acquired by the vendor The car is finished in red over beige cloth upholstery and is powered by a modified 1, 432cc turbocharged in-line four-cylinder coupled to a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes three-piece 15-inch Gotti wheels, an aluminium roof panel, fender flares and front and rear fog lamps. This R5 Turbo has 30, 000 kilometres (~ 19, 000 miles) on the clock and is now available for sale.
