Description
A usable and presentable Rover P6 2000TC. This is an early Series 2 car, so has some Series 1 badging. All brake discs have been either replaced or skimmed, with new pipes and hoses and new calipers on the front. The rear calipers look recent and the handbrake works. The base unit appears sound, with old underseal and no obvious rot, including inner sills and under the back seat. The mileage is genuine and supported by a large file of history going back to the early 70's. The buckskin interior shows some wear to the driver's seat but is otherwise undamaged and in good condition. The heater box has been re-furbished with new hoses, and the fan works on both speeds. New chrome wiper blades and halogen headlights mean you can always see properly. Tyres are recent Firestones, all with good tread, and the Rover will cruise comfortably at 70mph with light, direct steering. The engine starts and runs well, all gears engage cleanly with no noise and the clutch is smooth with normal height bite. There are no major dents, but the Corsica Blue paintwork is 54 years old and could be improved.
This would be a great entry into P6 ownership - a car which attracts much positive attention and which can genuinely be used everyday and on longer journeys.
