1965 Elan S2 GTS to full 26R race specification.
FIA HTP papers valid until the end of 2026, belts are in date and extinguisher system has just been serviced.
Engine was built by John Smirthwaite in second half of 2024 and has done just 2 races since. It showed 172 bhp on the dyno with plenty of mid range torque.
Specification highlights include original shell, fitted with lightweight 26R arches, bonnet, boot, hardtop, bumpers, and diff scoop. Heated front windscreen, Lexan operating side window, Full FIA roll cage, Tillet seat with OMP harnesses, Racetech instruments, 40 litre aluminium race tank fitted with Facet pump plus spare long range fuel tank.

Oil cooler, 2 sets of 5 ½ inch Minilite style bolt on wheels one set with 5. 25 M 13 Dunlops the other with 5. 50 L 13 Dunlops as required by some race series.
Aeroquip lines, Alloy radiator and header tank, Wosp alternator, FIA spec engine with 45 DCOE’s carburettors, Yarwood gearbox, TTR output shafts along with heavy-duty engine and gearbox mounts.
Fitted with MSD box. Having decided that 2025 will be my last year of racing, I will see out the rest of the year with my Type 14 Elite - hence the Elan is now for sale. Once it sells I will be less likely to change my mind about retiring!
