Description
1983 Austin Mini Mayfair restoration project.
The car was supplied by JC Bates & Sons British Leyland in Brighouse West Yorkshire. It has only registered 2 keepers (appearing to be the same family) and has covered just 28, 512 miles. The mileage is supported by MOT certificates dating back to 1987. There is also a quantity of old tax discs and some handwritten notes kept by the owner regarding fuel etc. The car was last on the road with MOT in 2019.
Some repairs have already been completed on the car, with new floors and several other new panels fitted, although none of this work is fully completed. There are some additional new panels and fittings included with the vehicle.
It is obvious that the car has had a number of previous patch repairs in its life, to keep it on the road up to 2019. For this reason, it will be the buyer's choice whether to continue with repair of the existing body or seek a better body shell.
The engine starts and runs from the key with a booster pack attached. Aside from that I have no knowledge of mechanical condition.
If you are interested in the car, bearing in mind the above description, you will need to come and see it to ensure it meets your expectations. For this reason I do not wish to sell the car or consider offers unseen.
