Description
The car with chassis number 1434 is the first Lotus 14 to be registered with an output of 100 hp (only five cars were officially built with this output). It has all the features that belong to a 100hp Elite. For the first time a self-supporting plastic body, 100 hp engine with two Weber carburettors 40DCOE, special four-speed gearbox from ZF, Borrani spoked wheels with rims and, last but not least, a large fuel tank. A larger aluminium fuel tank is included as a spare part. The vehicle is in an optical condition, as rebuilt by the last owner for the 1965 racing season. Technically, the car is prepared for normal road use. There is no repair backlog. MOT is until 6/ 2025 and can be renewed if required. The car was delivered to Sweden in 1961 and first raced in the Swedish and later Finnish championships. Drivers Odd Lunquist and Staffan Wahlström achieved several podium finishes with the 1434. After the 1964 racing season, the car was repainted white and then only driven for technical checks. As a result, the car is visually in 1964/ 5 condition
