Description
Its time for our Bentley (B37EK) to find a new home.
She is a lovely car in sage green over smoke green the correct combination per the factory. Bodywork is in excellent condition as is the cream leather interior and the walnut dash and door trims. The chrome is original and good but not concours. Starts up well and drives as a 1957 S1 should .... serenely going about her business attracting admiring glances.
I bought B37EK for my daughter's wedding from a family in Tennessee who had purchased it in 1976 when in London, England and shipped it to Michigan and then to Tennessee.
I have a thick file of documents and pictures including the original green log book showing all the previous owners and a copy of the original build card from Bentley.
Have used it for 'pleasure drives' and readily keeps up with modern traffic, She was originally purchased by John Brooks of then Brooks Motors Ltd in Ripon Yorkshire, a company that made industrial electric motors. ( his brother had a sister car with a sunroof fitted - now in Switzerland I believe).
The bodywork, interior is all in very good condition and will not need any attention other than cleaning. It has a AC system fitted when I purchased it but can be removed if not required.
B37EK is a joy to drive and you feel special when you sit inside, the walnut dashboard, soft leather on the seats makes it an experience not found in modern 'luxury' cars.
All the gauges and controls work, even the electric clock keeps good time!
