Description
Rover P6 3500S, 1975 Manual in stunning Monza Red and 68k miles.
This car has had only 3 owners prior to myself, with the last owner having the car for 46 years.
He took the car off the road in the late 80's, and eventually got around to the restoration 10 or so years ago which he did mainly himself as an accomplished engineer taking his time as he had other projects to work on. As far as I can see no welding was required.
Eventually the car was completed as you see it today - unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago.
The work done can be seen in his detailed notes in the photos - bodywork/ paintwork (including new factory wings he purchased back in the 80's)/ engine rebuild/ brakes/ carbs/ gearbox etc. Anything that needed to be done was done - but it's not a 'nut and bolt' rebuild.
I purchased the car off his estate a year or so ago having first owned a P6 back in the early 1990's and hankered to revisit those days. I've done this (though added hardly any miles) and now feel its time to pass it on to it's next custodian.
Have put a set of leather seats in the car but they need improvement - however the originals (cloth) are with the car and included. Carpets are original, headlining excellent.
The car was ziebarted from new (receipt in photos) and has stainless exhaust, electronic ignition, electric fan etc.
I had the car MOT'd last year for the first time in probably 30 or more years and it passed with 2 advisories that have been attended to.
Thanks for reading.
Back for sale after prospective purchaser lost the buyer for his car.
Would consider part ex for BMW E30.
