1980 FORD Mk2 ESCORT HARRIER.
Ive just Completed a 2year full stainless nut, bolt, washer & screw, rotisserie restoration. Owned since 2009, bought pretty much as a knackered shell and a box of bits, I just wanted to save it……16 years later,
It’s now Beyond concourse condition throughout.
Seriously seriously mint, I got a bit carried away to say the least!
Just about everything put back on this car is brand new. Literally everything!
It’s essentially a brand new car. Built as Ford intended, with tasteful period fast road modifications, (all new, and all can be put back to stock if you’d prefer?)

* Bilstien front struts

* 1” drop all round
* 60 profile Yoko tyres
* vented discs braided hoses
* spaced M16s green stuff
* polished zinc brake pipes
* Anti dive
* Quick rack
* Quick shift 4spd
* 1 piece prop
* Twin 40s
* Single box Ashley exhaust
* Deep RS Steering wheel
Genuine UK shell with all genuine rust free panels fitted. Days of gapping to get the lines perfect. Sand blasted, Only needing, New inner outer rear arches, inner outer spare wheel & tank wells. 1 sill, strut tops, front wings front & back panels, one front floor pan.
Door Steps, inner sills, A-posts, all 4 jacking points, chassis rails, heater bubble all were rock solid. All epoxy primed inside out upside down , double high build primed, 2k paint. Full floor & suspension treated the same as on top, you can see your face in the floor and leaf springs! Fully Seam sealed, wax injected.
Full NEW bronze glass set.
All new rubbers: windows, channels, doors etc.
New boot spoiler , grill & badges.
New bumpers & Lights. New spots & covers, Loom stripped cleaned & re-wrapped.
Rebuilt 711 xflo, bored out to 1660 fast road spec.
Big valve gas flowed head. GT cam, All stripped & rebuilt new: rings , bearings, gaskets, seals, alternator, starter, new dizzy electronic ignition coil etc, Professionally built & tuned period Weber’s, New performance exhaust system, sounds as good as it looks.
Everything painted in high temp paint. Full engine bay stickers, tags, “original white Harrier tag”
new; bearings, gaskets, seals, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, handbrake, clutch & speedo cables, all new clips and fixings. Polybushed throughout. Full stainless nuts/ bolts washers, screws throughout.
Fresh diamond cut original 79’ dated wheels, including the spare. Dove grey powder coat with new yoko tyres & nuts.
Full interior re-trim new; front & back seats, dash top, formed carpet, with shaped underlay, sound deadening pads in all inner panels, floor etc.
New parcel shelf, headlining, gear knob etc etc
original spec boot mat with jack, bag & brace all 2k sprayed. I even kept the original Ford runs on the inner wheel arch!
Covered 53 miles since completion just to run it, then re-torque all nuts and bolts marked with checked green paint.
Full MOT just for a second 3rd then 4th pair of eyes to check it over. They couldn’t believe it!
Drives like a proper modded Escort should. Many have said “ it’s far better than Ford ever did “

I have done the whole thing myself.
Yes I could have done the same work to an Aston and asked 150k but that’s not me. I built it for the love of FORD… My job is done, it’s now ready for its new owner to enjoy for another 45years.

New Owners manual and an original dealer brochure as seen in pics. Other than that no previous history. It’s pretty much a 45 year old new car, ready for you to do the history..
As you probably know , you Couldn’t build one to this standard for this price.
Harriers always were rare, Ford only built 1000 in Diamond White. Rarer in this condition, possibly one of the cleanest out there.
