Here is my lovely Spitfire
1300 with Overdrive & Hardtop
Bought as a bit of a project, it’s had new spark plugs and battery, and comes with spare leads and points etc.
The car runs and drives well, it was sat for a number of years in a garage prior to my purchase, so it’s in good shape underneath thankfully with one very small hole about the size of a 5p to the drivers floor pan which has been treated but will need addressing at some point in the future.
It drives well, the overdrive is in good order and smooth to engage and disengage.
It would benefit from the carbs being balanced, it does run a tad rich at the moment and I’ve not got round to addressing this yet.
It’s very honest as to what it is, no it is not by any-means pristine, but it is a very usable classic car.
I don’t really want to sell it to be honest, but unfortunately my daily driver has decided it doesn’t want to drive anymore and a replacement calls for me to free up some cash.
I do have a heritage certificate for the car with minimal other paperwork.
There is a soft top in the hood also which appears in good order.
