The model we are offering here is a very fine example of the Jaguar Type E, in its Series 2 2+2 coupé configuration, factory released in November 1969, comfortably accommodating four passengers aboard this great British classic.
Its bodywork was fully restored in 2016 by a specialist, in strict compliance with its original configuration, including its period colour "Willow Green" which lends it timeless elegance.
The interior has also received particular attention, with reupholstered seats, dashboard trim and a new soft top replaced in 2021, while other elements remained original and are presented in very good condition.
Several discreet but dramatically improving the car's handling have been made to optimise everyday use: the car is fitted with power steering, a trio of SU carburettors (very rare and incomparable with the two Strombergs), Zeus front brake calipers with double pistons and discs, 123 electronic ignition, as well as an alternator and an electric cooling fan.
The Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms that the exterior Willow Green and the Suede Green interior are in accordance with the original configuration (matching colors), as well as the original engine (matching numbers).
Regularly maintained by professionals, this car has always benefited from meticulous upkeep: oil changes, regular greasing, recently replaced rear discs – a technical operation involving the complete removal of the IRS rear suspension – as well as fitted with four new Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.
The car comes with a complete file of invoices and photos detailing the restoration steps.
