Description

Very good condition example of this ultra rare car. It's black and grey and was made in April 1959 - one month before the model was discontinued.
Engine/ mechanics - good. Borg-Warner overdrive.
Interior - two tone maroon leather; excellent, except veneer on extreme passenger end of dashboard is damaged - see photo. Rear seat - tiny tear near base of squab on driver's side and scratch on rear cushion (see photos). Bucket front seats.
Body - excellent except small amount of rust on front bumper and a few small areas where rust starting to bubble through. I bid unsuccessfully for this car at an auction in 2013. It then spent several years at the Moretonhampstead Motor Museum. I finally managed to buy it in December 2021. I've got a 'thing' about Gerald Palmer-designed 1950s cars! I can't tell you how proud I am of it... but it's too big for me and doesn't get used enough. It's very quiet and smooth, very comfortable and quite fast!
