I am looking for a quick sale for my MGTF 160, as i have the opportunity to buy one of my old cars back before Monday!!
I have owned this car for approximately 4 years. I brought it locally and privately at that time. The car is pretty much as it was when I brought it with a few more miles on it. I have used it in summer only and SORNd it for the winter months.
It has a file of bits that have been done before me. I have had it serviced by my brother in Sept this year. He also got the stereo working again, which was a loose connection.
The car needs some cosmetic attention. The previous owner repaired the drivers rear wing and the respray isn't great, and the wheels are badly curbed. There are a few minor dents and scratches, but nothing you wouldn't expect on a well used car of this age, I dont think. The interior is all there, but again needs love to be brought back to perfect.
Mechanically the car is sound and reliable. The last owner fitted a new exhaust and catalytic converter. These are notorious for not being quite good enough! The catalytic converter is not up to the job, and causes the engine management to come on. This does not affect performance at all, and can be cleared with an electronic fault clearer, which I have had to do for the MOT. I have driven the car with the light on, which is annoying, but doesn't detract from the drive.
It is currently MOT'd until May.
All these jobs are on the list, but I wasn't planning on selling the car. Its just that a chance to own my old Alfa has come up after 18 years! , so I have to at least try to sell this one to make room for it. I am asking the same price for this as the other car is advertised at to try to do a straight swap.
This car is the 160bhp version, so the most powerful, with coil spring suspension, so no hydrogas to worry about. An easy project for the winter to enjoy in the spring?
The car currently wears a personalised plate, S9DGT, which won't be going with the car. The photos are old ones as the car is garaged and the weather is horrible, but I can send more photos to any interested parties.

Thank you for reading. It is a good looking car in a lovely colour, and still gets admired even though it isnt perfect. I only do around 200 miles a year in it, always in the dry and always with Super Unleaded in the tank!
