Description
A beautiful example of a Mark 1 (NA) MX-5 1. 8iS, registered 24/ 12/ 1996. Rare in chaste white with virtually unmarked black cloth interior. This is the highest specification that was sold in the UK, with MOMO airbag wheel and ABS. It's also the later version of the 1. 8 engine with OBD2 connection/ diagnostics, with a slightly higher power output than the earlier version. In the two years that I've owned this car I've spent a small fortune (more than the asking price) to make it one of the best available. This summer we took it to the Le Mans Classic and then on to Saumur and Saint Emilion. in 1100 miles, it didn't miss a beat. It was recently rustproofed as a preventative measure by The MX-5 Restorer (worth googling them for more info).
A brief summary of work includes:
Recommissioning service including differential and gearbox oil, brake and clutch fluid, power steering fluid and fuel filter
Replace cam belt, water pump, radiator, hoses (silicone)
Replace radiator
Replace cat and exhaust
Replace rear calipers, discs and pads
Replace front calipers, discs and pads
Repalce clutch slave and master cylinders
Replace brake slave and master cylinders
Professional wheel refurbishment and four new Toyo TR-1 tyres
I have a huge folder of history dating back to when the car was new. I had previously advertised in the spring at £6, 995 but now have a new toy on the way, hence the price reduction.
