• THE 1800E IS THE FINAL RENDITION AND MOST TECHNICALLY ADVANCED P1800 COUPE WITH BOSCH FUEL INJECTION, DUAL CIRCUIT - FOUR WHEEL DISC BRAKES, WIDER WHEELS & TYRES AND 30% MORE POWER THAN THE EARLIEST RENDITIONS (135hp)
• BODYWORK AND PAINT BY ACJ VEHICLE REPAIRS, THETFORD. The car had been dry stored since 1988 so the body was in good condition before the 'nut and bolt' restoration commenced. The floor and chassis members are all original and didn’t require any attention apart from where a windscreen leak had caused corrosion at the front of the nearside passenger floor. A similar leak from the rear window had caused some corrosion to the frame. The front nearside wing bottom, nearside door skin and front light mounts also required attention with the addition of new steel panels/ parts

• ORIGINAL ALLOY WHEELS POWDER COATED AND DIAMOND CUT BY AEROCOAT, GT. YARMOUTH. Fitted with Firestone tyres
• ORIGINAL GEAR BOX AND REAR AXLE - new bearings and seals fitted
• COMPLETE NEW INTERIOR FITTED BY D. S. THOMPSETT LTD., CAMBRIDGE. Original front seat frames re-upholstered in leather, new Volvo rear seat cover set, new Volvo interior trim panel set, new Volvo headlining and rear wheel arch covers, new Volvo door cards, new Volvo rubber seals and weather strips, bespoke wool carpets including boot

Every part which was worn, damaged, tired or suspect was REPLACED WITH NEW including COMPLETE fuel system (inc. tank, pump, filter, pipes & hoses), COMPLETE braking system (inc. discs, calipers, pads, shoes, backplates, master cylinder, hand brake cable, pipes & hoses), COMPLETE cooling system (inc. radiator, water pump, pipes & hoses), bearings, seals, bushings, ball joints, shock absorbers, clutch, lights, mirrors, stainless steel trim, etc. etc.
