Description
Welcome to the advert for my 1974 Ford Capri II 2. 0 Ghia with the rare manual, most Ghia’s were optioned with the auto box. One of the first Capri II's registered in November 1974.
Only selling as ill-health will prevent me from attending shows this year unfortunately. The Capri was a prominent show car in the 1990's which culminated in a major restoration in 2008, including a full respray and welding by KMJ Classic Restorations. It was since dry stored between 2009-2025 after the then owner gave up driving. It's recently undergone a recommissioning and returned to the road with a genuine 36k miles.
Mechanically it’s spot on, starts first time with no spluttering or misfires. I’ve used it most days since the weather improved, it’s a real joy to drive and perfectly usable every day. Always run on super unleaded in my ownership.
The bodywork is solid; there are some minor spots of bubbling under the paint, however it presents as well it does in the pictures and certainly clean enough for show use. No rot anywhere on the car, a completely solid Capri.
Recently had a new stainless exhaust, HT leads, manual choke conversion, tyres and service. If you're looking for a nice Capri you can take to the pub for Sunday lunch, car shows, or even just commute to work in then you've found it.
Please get in touch with any questions, thanks :)
Price is £12, 750; I'm willing to listen to sensible offers from a genuine buyer.
