Genuine Series 2 Formula 500 authenticated by Italian paperwork and email from Piero Laverda, therefore 1 of approx. 75 produced for the single make European race series, so rarer than an SFC. Road registered, MOT exempt and zero cost road tax so can be enjoyed on road and track. I have the workshop manual, sales brochures, articles and correspondence from previous owners and have owned this bike for 9 years. Restored with rebuilt engine by Desmo Engineering, powdercoated frame, new shocks and s/ s fasteners, overall excellent condition. Recent Sache ignition and new ignition coils so it now ticks over. Dynod at 46bhp at rear wheel before it was re jetted as it was running a bit rich. I have loved owning and riding this beautiful, rare, angry little rocket, but also pampered it. I have kept a detailed record of track days and maintenance. This is not some dusty old classic that has festered in a shed, but a exotic machine that i have loved riding and refining over the years (so it has the odd chip and craze on the bodywork and wheels, as you would expect). It is in standard condition apart from the coils, ignition, and shocks, but i have kept all the original bits in case someone wants to put it in a museum. Piero pointed out it has the wrong clip on handlebars on it as it has Bimota ones on it, but they are comfy and part of its history before my ownership so I kept them on.
