THE CAR:-
THIS CAR HAS NO RUST, FLOOR, BOOT PAN AND CILLS ARE ALL SOLID.
NO BUBBLING OR COLOUR VARIATION IN THE PAINTWORK. GAPS AND LINES ALL LOOK CONSISTANT.
OIL PRESSURE IS REALLY GOOD, COOLING FANS KICK IN WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO, BRAKES DO THE JOB AND ARE NOT LAZY (NO BIG PEDAL TRAVEL), SUSPENSION IS REALLY SMOOTH (NO KNOCKING OR WALLOWING) STEERING IS GOOD (NO WEAVING OR VIBRATIONS) THE WHEELS HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY ALIGNED. GOOD POWER FROM THE ENGINE, EASY TO START FROM HOT OR COLD. CAR FEELS STABLE AT SPEED. NO SMOKE OR SIGNS OF OIL BURNING.
ALL GAUGES WORK.

BEING THAT I AM ENGLISH AND WORK WITH CARS OVER HERE IN SWEDEN I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO SELL THIS E-TYPE ON THE CLIENTS BEHALF. THE CAR WAS DELIVERED TO ME A FEW WEEKS AGO AND I HAVE GONE AROUND IT VERY CAREFULLY AND HAVE DRIVEN IT SO THAT I CAN GIVE MY HUMBLE OPINION OF IT AND HERE IS MY UNBIASED CONCLUSION:-
1) THIS IS NOT A MINT CONDITION EXAMPLE- BUT IT IS VERY PRESENTABLE, THE PAINTWORK IS STRIKING AND I CAN'T FAULT IT. TO THE UNTRAINED EYE MANY THINK THIS CAR IS IN TOP CONDITION.
THE WHEELS, ARE NOT THE ORIGINAL WHEELS, BUT ARE LIKE NEW.
2) IT DRIVES REALLY WELL.
3) YOU CAN TELL IT HAS BEEN LOOKED AFTER
4) THE MOHAIR ROOF HAS BEEN REPLACED AT SOME TIME AND IS NOT LEAKING.
TO HELP ME TO REALLY GIVE AN HONEST AND AS ACCURATE APPRAISAL AS POSSIBLE I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT OTHER E-TYPES SO THAT I CAN COMPARE AND DRAW SOME KIND OF CONCLUSION AND HERE ARE MY FINAL WORDS TO HELP YOU.
1) THE INTERIOR WOULD BENEFIT FROM HAVING SOME ATTENTION, THE DRIVERS SEAT OUTER EDGE PIPING IS A BIT WORN IN PLACES. THE LEATHER HAS PATINA.
2) THE HAZARD LIGHTS DON'T WORK (BUT INDICATORS DO).
3) ONE BAR THAT SUPPORTS THE SOFT TOP (TRAVELLING OVER THE DRIVERS AND PASSANGERS HEAD) HAS DETACTHED FROM THE SIDE FRAME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE (EASY TO MISS AS THE TENSION IN THE SOFT TOP HOLDS IT IN PLACE).
4) SOME DETAILING IN THE ENGINE BAY-IE THE TWO CHROME PLATES THAT NORMALLY SIT ON TOP OF THE CYLINDER HEADS ARE NOT FITTED (ONE IS IN THE BOOT!)
5) A RUBBER SEAL THAT SITS ON TOP OF THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT BUMPER AND GOES AGAINST THE BODY IS MISSING.
IN SUMMARY:-
YOU CAN SEE THIS CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF BY THE ORIGINAL SWEDISH OWNER, BUT IT HAS BEEN LEFT TO SIT IN A HEATED GARAGE SINCE HE DIED AND ONLY DRIVEN DURING THE SUMMER TIMES..
THE GROWN UP SON THAT INHERITED THIS E TYPE WAS TOO ATTACHED TO THE CAR TO SELL IT STRAIGHT AFTER THE PASSING OF HIS FATHER. AFTER ALL, IT'S BEEN IN HIS FAMILY FOR 40 YEARS AND THIS IS EMOTIONAL FOR HIM.
NOW HE WANTS IT TO GO TO A GOOD HOME, IDEALLY TO SOMEONE WHO HAS THE SAME PASSION FOR THESE CARS AS HIS FATHER DID. IT COULD DO WITH GOING TO SOMEONE WHO HAS AN EYE FOR DETAIL AND THE SKILLS TO TAKE THIS CAR TO A HIGHER LEVEL.

The Swedish owner who imported this E-Type to Sweden was a true Jaguar enthusiast and has invested both a lot of time and money in maintaining this car over the years.
Since being in Sweden it has undergone the following major works:-
1) 1990 - total body restoration/ repaint (fully documented). This was carried out by one of Sweden's top paint shops who specailised in classic cars.
2) 2019 - Full major service at a Jaguar specialist based in the south of Sweden at a cost of £8000 (fully documented).
The owner asked them to go through absolutely everything and to fix any problems that they discovered, ie any oil leak, even a small one, such was the request from the owner. Brakes fully overhauled.
Obviously, more than the works mentioned above has been done to this car over the years which is all documented too.
The car has done less than 700kms since this work was carried out. This car comes with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

Basically the owner here in Sweden bought this E-Type as it was his dream car to have in his collection.
He only wanted an E- Type in right hand drive because he felt it was more in keeping with it's British heritage! Since his ownership this car has basically travelled 100kms every year, being used on the rare occasion for car shows or a short trip with his wife on a summers day. When not in use it has been dry stored in a heated garage.
##OBS## we know this car underwent a colour change in 1977 from BRG to red long before it came to Sweden. The Swedish owner wasn't aware of this when he bought it in England back in 1986, especially when the V5c stated it was red as did any other background check he made back then.
Only when he decided to have have the car's paintwork fully restored by his trusted Swedish classic car guys was this discovered when they completely stripped the car down...
Currently the car looks absolutely amazing, straight lines, good gaps and high quality paintwork.
