Description
Very rare RHD narrow-body 1975 2. 7L 911S (not just a 911, but a 911S), with perhaps no more than a dozen examples remaining on UK roads. This particular car is even more desirable as a matching-numbers survivor that has never undergone major restoration work.
Finished in highly sought-after black and complemented by its chrome window surrounds, it has the timeless classic appearance that many enthusiasts seek but is increasingly difficult to find, with most surviving cars featuring black window trims and/ or less desirable colour combinations such as red, white or pale colours.
I’ve included photos of a beautifully presented, sympathetically lowered black narrow-body 911, which was my intended vision for this car. Having restored several concours-standard 911s, I purchased this example on a whim with plans to undertake another project. However, the reality is that I simply won’t find the time to do it, so I have decided to pass it on to someone who can realise its potential.
The car does technically run and drive sufficiently for loading and moving around, but it will require work before being suitable for any meaningful road use. Whilst it could potentially be recommissioned with engine work, tyres, and general mechanical attention, it should be viewed as a restoration project, as it is now showing its age and would benefit from a more comprehensive restoration.
The car has been priced accordingly. The asking price is firm, as comparable mid-year 911 project cars are typically around £35, 000 when they do come to market, and those examples are typically less desirable colours and not matching numbers. Well-restored matching-numbers examples in desirable specifications can command values in the region of £80, 000.
Serious enquiries only please and NO offers. The car is located in Surbiton, Surrey.
