This stunning Datsun in perfect condition has just come out of a complete restoration in 2020.
Here are the main things to know about its Restomod-style restoration:
- Bodywork fully restored, chassis rotisserie-treated, phosphate-chromated and finished with premium-quality paint products.
- Original engine rebuilt from scratch with carburettors removed and replaced by programmable electronic fuel injection with ITB 6-throttle bodies. The car now produces 160 bhp DIN instead of the original 130 bhp DIN.
- 5-speed manual gearbox
- Full stainless steel exhaust system with a superb sound from the straight-six engine.
- Completely new wiring harness, custom-made and simplified (like racing cars).
- Entirely new braking circuit equipped with 300 mm 4-piston Willwood front brakes and rear drum brakes replaced with 300 mm disc brakes.
- Adjustable threaded suspension with variable stiffness.
- Front and rear suspension assemblies brand new
- Some interior and exterior elements in carbon fibre
- Modern Speedhut dashboard instrumentation.
- Completely new interior trim, custom-made by a specialist upholsterer in leather and Alcantara.
- Half roll cage on the rear section of the cabin.
- Bespoke exterior paint finish never used on a Datsun
- All fasteners have also been replaced.
- Modern front and rear lighting (new headlights and tail lights, LED and high-performance bulbs)
- Current mileage approximately 3000 km with minimal usage.
- Collector's registration document in my name, expert report, photo folder of approximately 1000 photos documenting the restoration from A to Z.
- Latest MOT dated 9 October 2025 (valid for 5 years in France as the car has a collector's registration document).
1972 vehicle imported from the USA to France in 2017, then purchased by me in 2019 and restored immediately after. Before restoration, the vehicle had approximately 240, 000 km on the clock.
No aspect of the car has been overlooked; everything has been restored with meticulous attention to detail and in excellent taste.
