Description
This Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet was built in 1961 and sold new to its first owner in Tivoli, Rome, Italy. It retains its matching numbers and its complete provenance since manufacture. This example is equipped with an original hardtop!
Exported to the United States, it belonged up to 1986 to a Ferrari enthusiast from Florida. Returned to Italy in 1986, it was shipped to Livorno for its new owner, who kept it until 2013. Between 1987 and 1988, it was restored in Milan. The restoration invoices are still available.
The car remained in Italy until 2013, when it was acquired by VSOC for its current Dutch owner. Over the last 12 years, this Ferrari has been part of a significant Ferrari collection.
This magnificent and rare car is accompanied by a well-documented history, including its 'Foglio Montaggio' (Technical Sheet), an interesting read, the original Ferrari Classiche certificate, the ownership documents, the ACI papers and the restoration invoices.
The engine is powerful and the gear changes are very smooth. With overdrive in 4th, the car can cruise at speed all day. Ferrari has confirmed that all original and matching numbers are identical. The car is registered in the Netherlands.

Model history
Ferrari enjoyed tremendous success in the 1950s with the 250 series, road and race cars. The 250 series, the most successful of the early years of the marque, included many variants and was characterised by the use of the 3-litre Lampredi or Colombo V12 engines.
The Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet is one of the true Grand Tourer cars. Not particularly sporty, but very elegant. The newer models, equipped with overdrive, disc brakes and telescopic dampers, are particularly prized. Only 204 examples of Series II were produced.
With its timeless and elegant design, the Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet was – and remains – one of the most desirable cars of its era.
