It’s amazing to think that the MGB is now over 60 years old, such is the timelessness of its delicate, Italian-influenced styling.
Introduced in 1962, initially as an open-top Roadster only, the MGB went on to become the UK’s most popular sports car and today is the most prevalent classic car in the world, with over 20,000 known survivors in the UK alone, multiple owners’ clubs and an entire industry built up around the car’s ongoing survival.
This one is bordering on being as collectable as an MGB gets. An early car with ‘pull-handle’ doors and a pack-away removable roof frame, but late enough to have the tougher five-bearing engine, it’s a very smart, restored car that comes with documentary evidence of the care and attention it has received over the years and of the money spent on its restoration.
As Bs go, it’s one of the best combinations, finished in a great colour and in fine mechanical fettle.

SUMMARY
With the MG brand celebrating its centenary this year, this car represents a great opportunity to join the celebrations. It’s a rare and authentic pull-handle Roadster that has undergone a comprehensive restoration in recent years, has had loads of new parts fitted and which looks terrific on top. The interior is superb, the underside appears to be structurally excellent and a lot of money has been spent on renewing mechanical components.
The end result is a really lovely example of the archetypal MGB Roadster in an early and hugely appealing specification. A rare opportunity to acquire a very, very nice pull-handle MGB.
