The Appeal
The MGB GT took on the unthinkable - justifying a fixed-roof version of MG's mega-successful sports car. In a world where the British roadster reigned supreme, it must have been quite the imposing task - but Pininfarina took it in their stride, and created this hatchback beauty.
Continental eyes added a new, sporty, sleek sort of flavour to the otherwise rathermore straight-faced MGB, and set a car with better aerodynamics and a better top speed besides - without particularly detracting from the standard car's character. It's a masterclass of design, and often recognised as one of the Turin coachbuilder's best.
This 1972 example boasts a relatively little-seen Harvest Gold livery, which suits it to the ground. Having received an engine rebuild in 2014/2015 and additional tuning in 2021, this car is ready and waiting to impress its lucky new keeper.
