It was purchased in 1978 by the current owner's brother as a restoration vehicle before he died. It had 2 previous owner at the time. The current owner transferred it into his name when he inherited it in 1983.
It has been a prized possession and lovingly maintained. Extremely rare, the MG Owners Club stating approximately only 40 survive and that was stated in March 1989!
