Alfa Romeo Giulia 2000 GTV, year 1972. Chassis (VIN) number AR10521* 2431082*, engine number 00512* 40322*. This is a gorgeous and wonderfully restored example finished in Alfa Romeo red (AR501) featuring a black interior with black leathercloth seats. This stunning example was restored and rebuilt to a high level of perfection and with an eye for originality – The only ‘sacrifice’ to modern day tastes was the fitment of 15-inch Cromodora style alloy wheels by Alfaholics. This superb Alfa Romeo ‘Bertone’ coupe was restored without compromises in the Netherlands in the period 2012 - 2021. The project was managed and supervised by the specialist firm Alfaas. The bodywork was restored by Kousemaker restorations, and all the mechanical parts were overhauled by specialist Jaques van As. The total costs exceeded € 55. 000, -. The bodywork shows a wonderful panel fit, glass like paintwork, and top notch new and restored chrome trim. The interior was restored to original specifications showing new upholstery, carpet and roof lining in brand new ‘factory’ condition! The dashboard and all the other interior trim are in excellent condition. Under the bonnet everything presents itself in perfectly restored and like new factory original condition. The driving experience is fantastic and very much in keeping with how the Alfa Romeo engineers envisaged it to be. The two litre 150 bhp twin cam engine pulls strongly from low revolutions and the power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox and a live rear axle with a limited slip differential! Stopping power is provided by servo assisted disc brakes around. A very sporty package in 1972 and still highly desirable to drive in modern traffic with the unmistakeable Alfa Romeo 105 series soundtrack sounding in your ears as music! This Alfa Romeo Giulia 2000 GTV ‘Bertone’ is the best example we have seen and driven in years. The first seriously interested Alfa Romeo enthusiast or collector visiting our showroom will certainly buy this superb specimen!
