The MGB GT, designed by Pininfarina, was introduced in October 1965, and can claim to be one of the earliest sports hatchbacks to go into volume production. The rear deck offers excellent luggage space with a 2+2 option and improved aerodynamics gives the GT a top speed in excess of 100mph.
At Milestone Classics we are always looking for nice MGB GT’s - we look at many and buy very few. We were therefore delighted when we were offered this very nice GT by a local enthusiast who had purchased the car during lockdown.
The B was taken out of long-term storage around 2006 and since that time the history file evidences well in excess of £20k of expenditure.

The GT is just how we like our stock. To factory specification, the restoration has stood the test of time extremely well with just the odd paint blemish commensurate with light use over the last 15 years. Mechanically the car is excellent having been cosseted by the last two owners with a large history file demonstrating regular expenditure totalling thousands of pounds.
I have been using GT myself over the last week and she is an absolute joy to drive with a willing engine, excellent brakes, prompt overdrive engagement and that MGB exhaust soundtrack. The Webasto sunroof divide’s opinion but I absolutely love it - they provide “open” motoring with useful rear seat/ storage.
Today the word is out. Good examples of the BGT are highly desirable and this much loved, fastidiously maintained car will give years of pleasure to the fortunate new custodian.
