The Appeal
The Busso 916 may nab the sonic accolades, but for model aficionados it’s the T Spark that shines. Its lighter, revvy engine maximises the capabilities of Alfa’s clever suspension tweaks, including the multi-link rear suspension with its passive steering to aid turn in.
All of which puts some serious shine on this very low-mileage T Spark. But beyond the sparing use and appealing Rosso Proteo paintwork, it has another secret: it is one of the very first RHD 916s registered in the UK. The V5C shows two keepers, with the current one registered on the same day it was put on the road. Sadly, we know little more about its early history, but it’s clear this car is something special, as the colour scheme, front Zender-style splitter, and ultra-rare glass sunroof suggest. The enthusiast appeal continues inside where you’ll find a well kept full black leather interior featuring the now hard-to-find Alfa Romeo radio cassette factory-fitted unit.
The car had a cambelt change in 2014 and another just before sale in August this year. That work was undertaken by marque specialist Italia Tec and included a service, new water pump, front and rear discs and pads, coolant service and replacement fluids and hoses.
With advisory-free MOT to August 2027 and a distinctive GTV private plate included, this is a proper find for 916 fans.
